Entry requirements

  • English: at least Credit C6 in GCE O Level English; or Grade B in IGCSE English (as a Second Language); or IELTS 6.0; or TOEFL PBT 550; or TOEFL iBT 60; or Band B2 in the UBD English Proficiency Test.
  • Mathematics: at least Credit C6 in GCE O Level Mathematics or Grade B in IGCSE Mathematics.
  • GCE A Level: pre‑2017 UCAS tariff — minimum 160 points (two A‑level passes) or 200 points (three A‑level passes) in English‑medium subjects. UCAS tariff points — minimum 64 points (two A‑level passes) or 80 points (three A‑level passes) in English‑medium subjects.
  • International Baccalaureate: Diploma or Certificate with minimum 24 points, including at least two Higher Level relevant subjects with a minimum of 5 points each; or three Higher Level relevant subjects with 5, 5, 4 points.
  • HND/Advanced Diploma: any relevant HND or equivalent recognised by Senate. A statistics or mathematics course passed with Merit or above at HND level can substitute the mathematics requirement.
  • Other qualifications: completion of the first year of a bachelor degree from institutions recognised by Senate may be considered case‑by‑case.
  • Applicants with prior work experience: at least five years’ related work experience plus at least one GCE A Level pass or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Notes: meeting the published requirements does not guarantee admission; entry is competitive and limited. Applicants may be required to sit entrance tests or attend interviews as required by the Faculty.
