A multi-major Bachelor of Arts (Honours) that lets students specialise in one of several humanities and social‑science areas including languages, literature, media, geography and social sciences. It is suited to students aiming for an interdisciplinary arts education with options in Malay and English mediums, translation, creative industries and social research.
Study content is organised by the chosen major; the programme emphasises disciplinary knowledge in areas such as language and translation, literature, media and creative industries, geography and sustainability, history and international studies, and sociocultural research. Students follow the curriculum and modules specific to their selected major within the Faculty of Art and Social Sciences.
Applicants must meet an English competence threshold: at least Credit C6 in GCE O Level English, Grade B in IGCSE English (Second Language), IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 550 (paper), or Band 2 in the UBD English Proficiency Test. Academic qualifications accepted include GCE A Level (UCAS tariff minimums specified), International Baccalaureate (minimum 24 points with specified Higher Level scores), Higher National Diploma with at least five Merits (excluding Communication Skills), or mature applicants with five years' work experience plus stipulated academic credentials. Credit 6 in Malay at GCE O Level is required for those intending a Malay‑medium major. Re-sits/upgrades are allowed; admission is competitive and meeting minimums does not guarantee a place.
Graduates typically move into roles that draw on humanities and social‑science skills: education, translation and language services, media and creative industries, community and sustainability planning, cultural heritage and research, or further study in related disciplines. Specific outcomes depend on major and any additional professional or practical experiences undertaken.
