What you'll study

Students may complete a set of foundation courses before formal admission (available to juniors, seniors, or ITEP students). These foundational courses are:

• EDU 5010 - Foundations of Teaching & Learning (3 units)
• EDU 5020 - Foundation of Education in a Diverse Society (3 units)
• EDU 5302 - Educating Students with Disabilities in Diverse Settings (3 units)
• EDU 5100 - Introduction to Literacy Instruction (3 units)

The program requires candidates to pass EDSP CalTPA Cycles 1 & 2 and complete clinical practice requirements (including the CSU Exit Survey distributed during clinical practice). Additional combined credential and master’s details are available in the program PDF.

Entry requirements

Admission prerequisites documented by the program include:

• Basic Skills Requirement met by coursework with a B or better or CBEST Math and Writing

Additional credential-specific requirements include valid Infant, Child, Adult CPR certification and verification of completion of the U.S. Constitution requirement.
