An 18-month cohort bachelor’s completion program that develops practical management skills across finance, marketing, organizational behavior and ethics. Suited to adult learners with prior college and workplace experience who want to move into supervisory, management or operational leadership roles.

What you'll study

The curriculum combines co-requisite lower-division courses, a 27-unit required core, a 9-unit management emphasis and a 3-unit capstone business plan. You progress through the program with a cohort and apply course material to real workplace situations.

  • Program format and structure: 18-month cohort; online delivery; meet one night per week in cohort settings of about 12–22 adult students.
  • Co-requisite courses (6 units): ECON 103 Introduction to Economics; MATH 205 Introductory Statistics.
  • Required courses (27 units): ACCT 301 Accounting for Management; BUS 430 Business Information Systems; BUS 431 Organization Behavior; BUS 434 Individual in the Organization; BUS 442 Ethics and Values in Organizations; BUS 475 Law and the Business Environment; FIN 460 Business Finance; INTB 370 International Business; MKT 320 World of Marketing.
  • Emphasis courses (9 units): BUS 448 Introduction to Project Management; BUS 466 Statistics for Management; MGT 315 Principles of Management.
  • Capstone (3 units): BUS 478 Business Plan (students create a new-venture business plan integrating prior learning).
  • Grading for business courses: Credit requires a grade of C- or higher; general education/elective courses may be passed with a D-.

Entry requirements

Applicants must submit an application and fee and normally have a minimum 2.4 GPA (petitions considered if below 2.4). Applicants need two years of postsecondary work experience and at least 6 transferable units (petitions accepted for fewer). The program requires students to have 60 units before beginning the major. Admissions guidance includes submitting transcripts, GED or associate degree evidence for high-school completion, and military transcripts if applicable.
