The degree is composed of 130 credits: a minimum of 40 credits of general education plus 51 core academic credits in Landscape Architecture and additional elective subjects where required. Each listed course is 3 academic credits. Core and optional subjects include:
Students may select additional courses from the Faculty of Engineering & Technology (examples given in the programme materials) such as Architectural Structures, Building Materials & Assemblies, Surveying, HVAC System Design, Real Estate Law, Steel Design & Construction and others, subject to approval by the Distance Learning University Education Board.
Admission is open to adults aged 23 and over. At least 30% of the total credits required by the degree must be transferred from previous education and/or validated from professional experience to gain admission. Up to 20% of total credits may be validated from professional and life experience. A minimum of 40 general education credits is required toward the 130-credit total; transfers can satisfy this general education component.
The curriculum focuses on practical and applicable knowledge in landscape planning, urban design, construction aspects and site evaluation, preparing graduates for roles involving outdoor-space design, urban revitalisation projects, landscape construction oversight and related planning or real-estate evaluation tasks. Study outcomes emphasise the ability to explain key landscape-architecture concepts and to analyse practical applications and case studies.
Fees are presented per BIU credit: 70 Euros (≈90 US$) per earned undergraduate credit; transferred credits from previous education or experience are charged at 20 Euros (≈25 US$) each. The programme lists a minimum total tuition of 3,510 Euros and a maximum of 6,800 Euros; payment plans up to 36 monthly instalments are available on request. Textbooks, study guides, assessment, diploma and transcript are included in the stated fees.
