Students may select additional courses from related Arts & Humanities modules (e.g., archaeology topics, world history, museum operations, languages) subject to approval by the Distance Learning University Education Board. Coursework is completed through textbook study and written reports (20–35 pages) and projects; 1 BIU credit equals 15 hours of learning (USA semester credit) and 2 ECTS credits.

Entry requirements

Admission is open to adults over 23. A minimum of 30% of the program credits must be transferred from prior education and/or validated professional experience to gain admission; up to 20% of total credits may be validated from professional and life experience. A minimum transfer of 40 credits is expected to count as general education equivalence toward the bachelor's.

Career prospects

Completion is aligned with EQF learning outcomes at levels described as specialized knowledge and applicable knowledge/problem solving. Graduates demonstrate subject analysis, evaluation and application through written reports and projects that synthesize anthropological concepts; these skills support further study, research-oriented roles, and work where cultural analysis and cross-cultural understanding are valued.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Fees cover program study materials, textbooks, study guides, evaluation and assessment, diploma and transcript. Cost per BIU-earned undergraduate credit is 70 Euros (90 USD); transferred credits cost 20 Euros (25 USD) per credit. Total tuition for the 130-credit program is quoted as a minimum of 3,510 Euros (4,420 USD) and a maximum of 6,800 Euros (8,700 USD). Payment plans up to 36 monthly installments are available. Textbooks are supplied after fee payment and may take two to five weeks to arrive.
