What you'll study

Modules focus on specialist areas including acute sports trauma, physical rehabilitation, diagnosis and treatment, and injury prevention. You will learn practical skills for rehabilitating athletes and techniques from sport and exercise science used to evaluate and monitor fitness and performance. The programme offers the opportunity to undertake the FA Level 4 Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF).

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to hold at least a 2:1 honours degree and to be working as a therapist within a team environment (for example as a sports therapist, sport rehabilitator or physiotherapist).

Graduates are prepared to develop roles within professional sports clubs and sports therapy practices. Key applied outcomes include capability in physical rehabilitation, managing acute sports trauma, clinical diagnosis and treatment, and implementing injury-prevention strategies.
