Programme overview

This 4-year route includes a business and law foundation year before entering the three-year BSc (Hons) Accountancy and Finance programme. The curriculum is industry-shaped and emphasises national and international market perspectives, practical problem solving and use of professional tools such as the Bloomberg suite. Students can also choose a placement year to gain workplace experience between years of study. What you'll study

The programme develops both general and specialist knowledge in accounting and finance, embedding real-time financial data and analysis through the Bloomberg suite. Teaching includes work on live briefs from businesses, co‑design and project management of business events, and exposure to contemporary topics such as digital transformation, diversity and inclusion, and leadership. The course content is reviewed by an industry advisory board and guest speakers from firms including PwC contribute to the learning experience. Students without relevant qualifications are supported to progress via the business and law foundation year. A placement year option is available to apply taught knowledge in a workplace setting.
