What you'll study

You'll study a blend of accountancy and finance topics with embedded practical work and live business briefs. The programme makes use of the Bloomberg suite for financial analysis, provides opportunities to work on real-life business scenarios and to co-design and manage business events that build employer networks. The course content is reviewed with industry partners and features guest lectures from practitioners (for example from PwC) as well as international collaborative project work through opportunities such as International Marketing Week.

Entry requirements

Standard entry is via UCAS with required points of 104–120. Flexible entry options are available, including progression from the business and law foundation year for applicants without the relevant qualifications or experience. The course is delivered at the Southampton City Centre campus.

Career prospects

Graduates move into roles including accountant, auditor, tax specialist, financial analyst, fund manager, business adviser and entrepreneur. The degree has professional accreditation and an exam and pass in certain modules may lead to exemptions with bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, IFA and AIA. Recent alumni have secured positions at firms including Deloitte, Smith and Williamson and John Lewis.
