What you'll study

The programme is organised over six semesters and covers core commerce subjects. Key topics and subject areas included in the curriculum are:

• Financial Accounting – recording, analysing and interpreting financial transactions.
• Business Law – legal principles relevant to business operations and contracts.
• Economics – market and resource decision-making.
• Marketing – product and service promotion strategies.

• Entrepreneurship – business idea development, innovation and startup management.
• Training in business, database management and financial software applications, plus internships, industry visits and corporate projects for practical exposure.

Entry requirements

Minimum eligibility is completion of 10+2 (CBSE or equivalent). Applicants must qualify CUET-UG or another recognised national undergraduate test in the discipline; candidates who have not appeared in those tests may sit NCU's own entrance examination for the UG programme.

Career prospects

The curriculum and ACCA integration prepare graduates for roles across accounting, finance and business. Typical career paths listed by the programme include positions in banking and financial services (for example retail banking and loan roles), finance and risk management (financial analyst, auditor, tax consultant, insurance advisor, risk analyst), business and consultancy (business consultant, research/consultancy, operations manager) and corporate/marketing functions (HR executive, marketing specialist). Graduates are also directed towards further qualifications such as MCom/MBA and professional certifications (CA, CPA, CS, CFA, FRM) to advance specialist careers.
