What you'll study

Students build a solid base of science skills and knowledge through in-depth, experiential learning. The curriculum emphasizes chemistry and biology fundamentals, laboratory practica, and opportunities for student research and teaching. The College charges a $50 lab fee per lab course. For full course and degree requirements, students are directed to the College catalog and advised to create a course plan with their academic advisor.

Career prospects

Graduates have entered roles such as research and environmental scientists, lab managers, hazardous materials managers, and scientific writers. Many alumni also pursue advanced degrees in biochemistry, chemistry, medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

All new first-year applicants are awarded either the Benedictine Scholarship or the Access Award upon admission. The College reports that 100% of traditional incoming undergraduates receive some type of scholarship; the average amount reported for scholarships, grants, and/or loans is $31,841.
