Entry requirements

Students progress through Indiana Wesleyan’s Teacher Education Program and must be admitted to that program. Requirements include a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 and a minimum 3.0 GPA in each teaching major (including teacher education courses). Professional education courses with a grade of C- or lower must be repeated. Admission to the Teacher Education Program requires a formal application and program assessments such as an interview and reading and writing on-demand evaluations.

Admission to student teaching (applied for a year prior to the student teaching semester) requires maintaining the GPA thresholds above, submission of a lesson plan assessed by School of Teacher Education faculty, and other program assessments.
