Programme overview

Marquette's MS in Biomedical Sciences is a 30-credit graduate program designed to enhance academic and experiential credentials for careers across health care, industry and education. The full-time curriculum is structured for completion in about 15 months and offers two interdisciplinary specializations (Neuroscience and Anatomical Sciences) and two practical tracks oriented to either laboratory research or instructional work in biomedical sciences.

What you'll study

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (or international equivalent) prior to starting the program. Required preparatory coursework includes at least two semesters each of general biology and general chemistry; completion of one semester of organic chemistry or biochemistry is strongly recommended. Minimum GPA expectations are 3.00 overall and 2.80 in science coursework. Non-U.S. citizens must demonstrate English proficiency; the stated TOEFL benchmark is an overall score of 90 with minimum section scores of 25 for listening and speaking and 20 for reading and writing.

Application components: completed online application and fee, transcripts from all previously attended institutions (final official transcripts due after admission), a personal statement (maximum 500 words) addressing purpose and goals, and one letter of recommendation. The program operates on rolling admission with Summer and Fall start options and specific deadlines for international applicants.
