What you'll study

The programme covers the scientific foundations of podiatry and their application to patient care. Core areas include human anatomy and physiology, musculoskeletal assessment, biomechanics and gait analysis, dermatology and nail care, wound and diabetic foot management, pharmacology relevant to podiatry, and minor podiatric procedures. Students learn clinical reasoning, professional practice, ethics and communication, and are introduced to public health and preventative foot care.

Entry requires completion of an approved secondary school qualification or recognised tertiary-level study that meets Auckland University of Technology's undergraduate admission criteria.
