What you'll study

Students complete the full MBA and the full MA curricula, with approved cross‑crediting between the two. Up to 9 political science or international affairs credits may be counted toward MBA elective requirements, and up to 9 MBA credits may be counted toward the MA. In total, a maximum of 18 credits can be double counted between the degrees. Courses used to satisfy requirements for both degrees must be identified with advisers prior to program completion. Entry requirements

Applicants must submit separate applications to the Graduate School of Management and to the Graduate School and satisfy the admissions standards of each program. While the two applications are similar, both must be completed; applicants who pay one application fee may indicate that the fee has already been paid on the second application. Admittance to both programs at the same time is required to obtain the maximum credit efficiencies.

Career prospects

The combined degree prepares graduates for roles that bridge business and public affairs or international contexts. Typical outcomes would draw on management skills from the MBA plus analytical, policy, or international expertise from the MA. Students work with advisers in both programs to shape course selections toward career goals.

Scholarships & funding angle

Tuition is charged on a per‑credit basis at the university’s graduate rate, which is the same for both programs. For application fee handling, applicants pay the fee for the first completed application and note payment on the second. Students should consult both schools for program‑specific financial aid and funding opportunities.
