Entry requirements

The certificate is intended to be added to a UT Permian Basin bachelor’s program. Admission follows the university’s standard undergraduate rules. Transfer applicants need at least 24 transferable credit hours from a regionally accredited institution, a minimum 2.0 GPA in prior college coursework and official transcripts from all colleges attended. Freshman applicants with fewer than 24 transferable hours must submit official high school and college transcripts, SAT/ACT scores (optional in many cases), and the completed application. Official transcripts must be sent to the Office of Admissions; electronic transcripts may be emailed to admissions@utpb.edu. The application fee is $40, with fee-waiver options available in specified circumstances.

Career prospects

The program provides foundational skills suited to entry-level or early-career roles that emphasize digital channels. UTPB lists potential roles including positions across digital branding, social media, e-commerce and analytics where skills in Google Analytics/SEO, social media tactics and online advertising are applicable.

Scholarships & funding angle

The course page does not list specific scholarships tied to the certificate; applicants should consult UT Permian Basin’s admissions and financial-aid offices for funding options. The university accepts application fee waivers in qualifying situations and uses test scores as supporting documents for admission and scholarship consideration when submitted.
