What you'll study

The degree comprises 24 units: 20 core units and 4 electives spanning aerodynamics, navigation, aviation law, safety and human factors alongside extensive flight practice. Practical flight units allocate specific flight hours; any extra training beyond those allocations incurs additional cost.

Entry requirements

Academic eligibility: successful completion of Australian Year 12, a Certificate IV or equivalent, or an approved tertiary preparation/foundation program. Applicants must hold a CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate, be eligible for an Aviation Security ID Card, submit an application to Holmes Institute, and attend an interview plus a skills assessment. English study completion is also specified in the course entry text.
