The MBA (Professional) comprises 8 core units and 8 elective units. Core units cover accounting, economics, finance, marketing, statistics, management in global contexts, competitive strategy and business research. Where alternate unit codes exist students may take either the HI- or HM‑listed equivalent:
Electives: students choose 8 elective units. Electives may be grouped into one or two specialisations (resulting in a specialisation‑bearing MBA) or chosen across areas for a generic MBA (Professional). Examples of available specialisations and their units (offered subject to demand) include:
Academic entry options (applicants must meet one): an Australian bachelor degree or equivalent; an Australian Graduate Diploma; an Australian Graduate Certificate or equivalent plus at least two years' relevant industry experience; or an Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree or equivalent plus at least five years' relevant industry experience.
English proficiency options (applicants must meet one): prior successful study in English (for example Year 12 at an Australian high school or an Australian Diploma/higher), or successful recent study at a recognised Australian institution at an equivalent level; or IELTS overall 6.0 with no band below 6.0. The course prepares graduates for senior and managerial roles across sectors.
