Electives may be chosen from within a single specialisation to complete that specialisation, or across specialisations to produce a generic MIS degree. Elective and specialisation availability is subject to demand.

Entry requirements

Academic pathways for admission are: an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent); or an Australian Graduate Diploma; or an Australian Graduate Certificate (or equivalent) plus a minimum of two years' demonstrable relevant industry experience; or an Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree (or equivalent) plus a minimum of five years' demonstrable relevant industry experience.

English requirements include completion of prior study in English (for example Year 12 at an Australian high school or an Australian diploma or higher) or successful recent study at a recognised Australian institution; alternatively IELTS overall 6.5 with no band lower than 6.5. Career prospects

Graduate roles identified for alumni include business analyst, systems analyst, IT consultant, project manager, data analyst and enterprise systems specialist. The program also positions students for senior technology leadership and transformation roles such as IT director, chief information officer (CIO), head of digital transformation or senior technology consultant, and provides a pathway into doctoral research for those pursuing further academic study.
