What you'll study

The minor requires 18 total credit hours, split between a 12-credit discipline core and 6 elective credits.

• Discipline core (12 credits): ECON 2010 Principles of Economics I (3), ACC 2110 Principles of Accounting I (3), MGMT 2400 Data Analytics for Business (3), MGMT 3000 Organizational Behavior (3).
• Electives (choose two, 6 credits): MGMT 3300 Survey of International Business (3), HR 3430 Introduction to Human Resource Management (3), MKTG 3600 Principles of Marketing (3).

Program learning outcomes include: evaluating theory-based management approaches; preparing financial statements using GAAP; analyzing and presenting quantitative business solutions in written and oral form; applying data analytics tools to strategic business problems; and applying economic models and techniques to business decisions.

Entry requirements

Students must achieve an overall GPA of at least 2.5 in all Woodbury School of Business courses and earn no grade lower than a C- in business courses applied to the minor. Completion of General Education and any specified departmental requirements for the student’s bachelor’s degree is also required. The program is restricted to students who are not enrolled in a business degree program.
