An advanced Master of Education aimed at experienced practitioners working from anthroposophical foundations who want to deepen applied, contemplative research and healing-centered practice. Best suited to educators and related professionals with substantial field experience seeking transdisciplinary research skills and residency-based training.

What you'll study

The degree requires a minimum of 32 credits delivered across online terms and two summer residencies. Major course groupings and residencies listed in the program materials include:

  • Spring I (online, often beginning with a one-week January intensive): Human Development II; Research II; Education for Social Renewal (student research)
  • Summer I (three-week July residency with pre/post virtual work): Kairos Institute I; Transdisciplinary Learning; Evolving Consciousness; Leadership Development; Healing Aspects of Music; Healing Practices I
  • Spring II (online): Contemplative Inquiry I plus an internship or practicum at a local site
  • Summer II (two-week July residency with pre/post virtual work): Kairos Institute II; Trauma- and Grief-informed Teaching; Foundations of Human Experience; The Writer’s Voice; Healing Image in Story and Color; Eurythmy III; Healing Practices II
  • Final semester: master’s project or thesis advised according to the student’s chosen research focus

Entry requirements

The program is designed for applicants who have at least five years of relevant professional experience and a practice grounded in anthroposophical principles, or who will have completed stage 2 of a Camphill Academy program.
