What you'll study

The curriculum provides a broad, function- and sector-spanning business education plus key competencies such as analytical skills, solution-oriented action and entrepreneurial thinking. The programme includes core modules across seven semesters and an extended company project period. Students may choose one of three specialisations: Mittelstandsmanagement, Logistikmanagement or Wirtschaftsinformatik. Representative modules by semester include:

• Semester 1 (example core): Grundlagen der BWL; Mathematik für Betriebswirte; Personal / Organisation; Recht 1: BGB / HGB; Wirtschaftsinformatik 1; Coaching-Selbstkompetenz Teil 1; Praxisphase 1. (22 SWS / 30 CrP)
• Semester 2: Externes Rechnungswesen; Recht 2: Arbeitsrecht; Statistik; VWL; Betriebsethik; Coaching-Selbstkompetenz Teil 2; Praxisphase 2. (22 SWS / 29 CrP)
• Semester 3: Finanzierung / Steuern; Internes Rechnungswesen; Marketing; Unternehmensführung und Steuerung; Wirtschaftsinformatik 2; Praxisphase 3. (20 SWS / 29 CrP)
• Semester 4: Business English; Betriebliche Standardsoftware; Materialwirtschaft/Produktion; Projektmanagement; Strategisches und operatives Controlling; Vertrieb. (26 SWS / 31 CrP)
• Semester 5: Sozialkompetenz plus mehrere Wahlpflichtmodule (in der Regel virtuell). (24 SWS / 29 CrP)
• Semester 6: Projektstudium im Unternehmen (32 SWS) — großes, unternehmensbezogenes Projekt, Studierende arbeiten primär im Partnerbetrieb.
• Semester 7: Praxisteil der Bachelor-Thesis im Unternehmen, theoretische Blockmodule an der Hochschule, Bachelor-Thesis (12 CrP) und Bachelor-Kolloquium; weitere Module include Nachhaltigkeit und Gesellschaftliche Verantwortung, Businessplan, Bilanz- und Steuerpolitik. (12 SWS / 30 CrP)

Specialisation-specific modules (selection):

• Mittelstandsmanagement: Inhalte qualifizieren für Personalwesen, Marketing & Vertrieb, Buchhaltung, Controlling.
• Logistikmanagement: Interlogistik; Logistikkonzepte; Beschaffungs- und Produktionslogistik; Distributionslogistik; Informationslogistik; Geschäftsprozesse; Recht für Logistiker; Planspiel.
• Wirtschaftsinformatik: Einführung in die Programmierung; Datenmodellierung und Datenmanagement; Softwareergonomie und grafische Benutzeroberflächen; Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence; Recht für Wirtschaftsinformatiker.

Entry requirements

The programme is offered in a special admission mode as a dual, practice-integrated course via StudiumPlus; studies commence in the winter semester with an August company induction. The course language is German and takes seven semesters. Career prospects

Graduates are trained as generalist business professionals able to work across functions and industries: roles in HR, marketing and sales, accounting, controlling, operations and logistics are typical.
