A seven‑semester, German‑language Bachelor programme that combines computer science and business administration to prepare students to develop and shape enterprise information systems. Suited to applicants who want both software and business competence and who prefer study with embedded practical project phases and company collaboration.

What you'll study

The curriculum mixes core IT subjects, business fundamentals and practice‑oriented projects. Early semesters focus on introductions and foundations, later semesters emphasize software engineering, business processes and project work.

  • Semester 1 highlights: Einführung in die Wirtschaftsinformatik; Einführung in die Programmierung; Einführung in die Wirtschaftswissenschaften; Mathematik für Wirtschaftsinformatiker I; Wissenschaftliches Arbeiten (total 27 CrP).
  • Semester 2 highlights: Privat‑ und Arbeitsrecht sowie Rechtliche Aspekte der Informatik; Betriebssysteme und Rechnernetze; Datenbanksysteme; Algorithmen und Datenstrukturen; Rechnungswesen; Mathematik II (total 33 CrP).
  • Semester 3 highlights: Wirtschaftsinformatik‑Seminar I (Proseminar); Softwaretechnik; Grundlagen der Informationssicherheit; Projektmanagement; Organisationslehre; Wirtschaftsstatistik (total 33 CrP).
  • Semester 4 highlights: Kommerzielle Standardsoftware; Wirtschaftsinformatik‑Projekt 1 (Softwaretechnik); Business Intelligence; Entwicklung betrieblicher Informationssysteme; Wahlpflichtmodul (total 30 CrP).
  • Semester 5 highlights: Wirtschaftsinformatik‑Seminar 2 (Hauptseminar); Wirtschaftsinformatik‑Projekt 2; multiple Wahlpflichtmodule (total 30 CrP).
  • Semester 6 highlights: IT‑Management; Digitale Geschäftsprozesse; Operations Management; Projektphase (BPP, Teil 1) worth 12 CrP (total 27 CrP).
  • Semester 7 highlights: Projektphase (BPP, Teil 2) 12 CrP; Projektphasen‑Seminar; Bachelorarbeit (12 CrP) and Kolloquium zur Bachelorarbeit (total 30 CrP).

The programme covers software development and software engineering, databases, networks and system software, IT security, business process design, project management, business intelligence and core business administration topics. Entry requirements

The programme is zulassungsfrei (no NC). Applicants must meet the university's enrollment prerequisites and enroll within the stated periods. Instruction is in German and the study start is the winter semester. Immatrikulation for the winter semester runs from 1 June to 20 September. International applicants apply via uni‑assist from 1 April to 15 July; the International Office provides further guidance. THM offers pre‑semester bridge courses in subjects such as mathematics and programming to refresh or close knowledge gaps.

Graduates are prepared to design, implement and adapt enterprise information systems from both technical and economic perspectives.
