FieldFilm & Media Production

A three‑year career program that trains students in design and technical skills for digital media production, combining studios and industry placements. Suited to creative students who want hands‑on experience across graphic design, web development, animation, motion graphics/video and emerging technologies and who intend to build a practical portfolio for employment or further study.

What you'll study

Instruction emphasizes design principles and problem solving across four main areas: graphic design; web development; animation and motion graphics/video; and emerging technologies (for example, virtual reality and 3D printing). Students also work on typography, photography, UX design, short‑form video and interactive installation, developing a project portfolio using current tools and software.

Entry requirements

There are no program‑specific prerequisites beyond college‑wide admission standards: a Quebec Secondary School Diploma or the Quebec Diploma of Vocational Education, or equivalent schooling completed outside Quebec.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for roles across creative industries, including advertising, animation, audio and video production, computation arts, graphic design, photography, UX design and website design. The program’s internship and industry connections are intended to support job readiness and placement.
