What you'll study

Coursework combines studio practice with research and professional preparation. Core study areas include foundational art methods and concentration-specific studio courses. The programme features opportunities such as mural projects, visiting artists, museum visits and student exhibitions. Some classes carry a course materials fee.

Career prospects

Graduates have pursued careers and further study in fields including architecture, education, art therapy, graphic design, art direction, the fine arts and related areas. Internships are encouraged (past hosts include regional arts councils, galleries, museums and advertising agencies) and the Professional Practices course supports transition to employment or graduate programs.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

All new first-year applicants receive either the Benedictine Scholarship or the Access Award upon admission. The College reports that 100% of traditional incoming undergraduates receive some type of scholarships; the average for scholarships, grants, and/or loans is $31,841. Students may also explore course fees, additional scholarships and financial-aid resources through the admissions and financial-aid offices.
