Entry requirements

Admission to the major requires an audition with the Division of Music and Theatre and an interview with Music Therapy faculty. Graduation from the university requires completion of at least 124 semester hours (some majors may exceed this), a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, and a minimum major GPA of 2.25; additional departmental requirements must also be met.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for clinical music therapy roles in settings such as hospitals, schools, community health centers and private practice, working toward roles typically filled by Board‑Certified Music Therapists (MT‑BCs).
