What you'll study

This programme combines core mathematics and statistics with specialised actuarial subjects, computing and applications in finance and insurance. The curriculum emphasises both theory and practical problem solving so you can model and quantify financial and demographic risk.

Entry requirements

Typical entry requires a secondary school completion certificate equivalent to the Saudi Tawjihiyah with strong results in mathematics. Applicants are expected to have a strong quantitative background; physics and further mathematics at secondary level are advantageous.

• Academic: secondary school diploma with high achievement in mathematics. International applicants must present an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Language: instruction is often Arabic with some modules or materials in English; applicants should have sufficient proficiency in the teaching language. Evidence of English language ability may be requested for students who will study English-medium modules.
• Other: some programmes may require an entrance assessment or interview to evaluate mathematical aptitude. Mature applicants with relevant experience may be considered through the university's admission policies.
