What you'll study

Instruction covers human behaviour at the individual, group and organisational levels. Specific topics and learning experiences include:

• Employee and management attitudes, motives and behaviours
• Case study analysis and experiential activities
• Managing difficult interactions such as harassment and abusive supervision
• Consideration of psychological disorders in the workplace
• Strategies to build inclusive workplaces and to increase and manage organisational diversity

Entry requirements

Applications follow Suffolk's graduate admission process. Required materials include a completed application, a $50 application fee (fee waiver available for applicants who attend a graduate admission event), a resume, unofficial transcripts of all post-secondary work, and a goal statement (essay). Admitted students must provide official transcripts, including proof of degree conferral, before their first class. Application deadlines are August 15 (Fall) and January 4 (Spring), then rolling.

The certificate prepares learners for roles that involve talent management, people leadership or HR-related responsibilities by strengthening skills in managing behaviour, resolving difficult workplace interactions, and fostering inclusion and diversity. Courses may also be applied toward further graduate study in management.
