What you'll study

The program requires two core courses (6 credits) and two electives (6 credits):

• Required: MBA 501 Organizational Development & Change Management (3 credits)
• Required: MBA 550 Fundamentals of Human Resource Management (3 credits)

The Blackboard learning management system is used for all course content, assignments and communication. The program also recognizes credit for prior learning and industry-recognized credentials, allowing up to 9 credits toward a graduate business degree where applicable.

Career prospects

Coursework targets skills that prepare students to contribute to HR strategy and operations: talent acquisition and retention, training and development, compensation design, labor relations, and compliance. The university’s Career Center for Life Calling offers placement support, internships and career services to certificate completers. Completing the certificate also provides an academic pathway into the MBA for broader management roles.
