Entry requirements

Admission requires a Secondary School Certificate (or equivalent) certified by the Bahraini Ministry of Education with a minimum average of 60%; applicants with averages below 60% may be admitted only under specific exceptions (nationally recognised talent, at least one year of relevant practical experience, or by University Council approval) and such admissions must not exceed 20% of intake. Applicants must hold a High School Certificate in the Scientific Track or equivalent. Transfer students are considered under university bylaws. All admitted students take a compulsory university English placement test: scores 0–34 require ENG097 (Elementary English), 35–50 require ENG098 (Intermediate English); exemptions apply for a test score of 51 or higher, IELTS Band 5.0+, or TOEFL 450+.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

The programme page lists estimated tuition details and an example of partial academic excellence scholarships for the first semester only: 30% for high school averages 95–100% and 15% for averages 90–94.9%. Tuition is presented per credit hour (92.7 BD) and per semester figures are shown on the programme site; summer term registration is optional (same per‑credit rate) and has a maximum registration of 9 credit hours.
