What you'll study

The programme offers a comprehensive and sequential curriculum combining theory and practice to build accounting and financial competence. Learning emphases include accounting principles, financial reporting, financial analysis and related specialised accounting skills, together with communication and critical-evaluation abilities that support decision-making and leadership in changing business environments.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a Secondary School Certificate (or equivalent certified by the Bahrain Ministry of Education) with an average of at least 60%. Candidates with averages below 60% may be admitted only if they meet one of these conditions: they are athletes or artists representing Bahrain internationally, or they have at least one year of practical experience after secondary school. The University Council may also admit applicants below 60%, but such admissions cannot exceed 20% of entrants. Applicants from non-scientific secondary tracks must pass department-determined remedial courses.

Graduates are prepared for roles in accounting and finance across public and private sectors. Listed career paths include accountant, financial manager, financial analyst, investment banker, auditor, risk manager, corporate treasurer, tax consultant, financial controller and banking relationship manager.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Tuition is calculated per credit hour (92.7 BD) and the estimated annual tuition shown for the study plan is 2,781 BD (1,390.5 BD per semester). Tuition is payable each semester in three instalments: at course registration, before mid-terms and before finals. The summer term is optional; summer credit-hour fees use the same per-credit rate and students may register up to nine credits. Partial academic excellence scholarships are available for the first semester only: 30% for high school averages 95–100% and 15% for averages 90–94.9%.
