Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a Secondary School Certificate or equivalent certified by Bahrain’s Ministry of Education with a minimum average of 60% (Scientific Track or equivalent). Students with averages below 60% may be admitted only if they meet one of the specified exceptions (talented category, at least one year of relevant practical experience, or a special admission decision by the University Council); such exceptions are capped so they do not exceed 20% of admitted students. All admitted students must take the compulsory university English placement test: scores 0–34 require ENG097, 35–50 require ENG098, and scores 51 or higher (or Band 5.0+ IELTS or 450+ TOEFL) exempt students from ENG097/ENG098. Transfer students are accepted under the university’s bachelor degree bylaws.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Partial academic excellence scholarships are offered for the first semester only: 30% for high school averages 95–100% and 15% for averages 90–94.9%. Tuition is charged per credit hour; the programme materials state that fees are paid each semester in three instalments and summer study is optional with a per‑credit fee.
