What you'll study

The programme covers foundational and applied accounting and finance topics delivered across 45 courses totaling 135 credit hours. Entry requirements

Standard admission requires a Secondary School Certificate (or equivalent certified by Bahrain’s Ministry of Education) with an average of at least 60%. Applicants with averages below 60% may be admitted only if they are internationally representing athletes or artists, or they have at least one year of practical experience after secondary school; the University Council may also admit applicants below 60% subject to limits (those admitted under the exception may not exceed 20% of admitted students). Candidates from non-scientific secondary tracks must pass departmental remedial courses.

All admitted students must take the compulsory university English test to determine placement: scores 0–40 require ENG 099 (Remedial English); scores 41–120 require ENG 101 (English Language 1). An IELTS score of 5 or higher or TOEFL 450+ exempts the student from ENG 099.

Graduates are prepared for roles such as accountant, financial manager, financial analyst, investment banker, auditor, risk manager, corporate treasurer, tax consultant, financial controller, and banking relationship manager. The programme emphasizes readiness to work efficiently in both public and private sectors and to assume specialist-level responsibilities and team leadership in accounting-related functions.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Tuition is structured around the 135-credit programme; the published fee per credit hour is 92.7 BD. Estimated fees per semester are listed as 1,390.5 BD, with an annual estimated total of 2,781 BD, and tuition is payable each semester in three instalments. Partial academic excellence scholarships for the first semester are noted: 30% for high school averages 100–95% and 15% for averages 94.9–90%. Summer registration is optional; when taken, the credit-hour value is 92.7 BD and a maximum of 9 hours may be registered.
