What you'll study

Study focuses on developing creative thinking, design methodologies and research approaches for visual communication. Learning areas explicitly include print, multimedia, video technologies, user interfaces, animation, computer technologies and user‑behaviour analysis. Entry requirements

  • Secondary school certificate certified by the Bahraini Ministry of Education or equivalent with a minimum grade of 60%.
  • Applicants with below 60% may qualify if they are national athletes/artists representing Bahrain, or have at least one year of relevant work experience after secondary school; the University Council may also approve other cases. Admissions under the work‑experience route are limited to no more than 20% of programme admissions.
  • All applicants must pass an interview and an assessment test administered by the department.
  • All admitted students take a mandatory English placement test. Students scoring 0–40 must take ENG 099. Students scoring IELTS ≥5 or TOEFL ≥450 are exempt from ENG 099.
