What you'll study

This programme combines core project management theory with practical tools and techniques to plan, control and deliver projects. Modules typically cover project life‑cycle and governance, planning and scheduling, cost and value management, risk and quality management, procurement and contracts, stakeholder and change management, leadership for projects, and project monitoring and evaluation.

Teaching emphasises applied learning: case studies, simulation exercises, group work, industry guest speakers and software‑based planning workshops. You will also complete a substantial independent research project or consultancy dissertation that applies methods and concepts to a real organisational problem or a focused research question.

Entry requirements

Applicants are usually expected to hold a good undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognised institution, or to demonstrate comparable professional experience in a related field. Candidates without a traditional degree but with significant relevant work experience may be considered on an individual basis.

All applicants must meet the University’s English language requirements. If English is not your first language, you should provide evidence of proficiency. Professional experience in project work, placements or internships strengthens an application and can be particularly relevant for part‑time or executive pathways.
