What you'll study

Entry requirements

Typical entry expects good grades at A-level (or equivalent) with Biology or a closely related science strongly preferred. Applicants without A-level Biology may be considered if they have a relevant scientific background or suitable experience. Typical offers are in line with standard biosciences admissions; applicants should check the current university admissions pages for exact requirements and acceptable equivalents (e.g. BTEC, Scottish Highers, International Baccalaureate).

Other requirements may include a satisfactory level of Mathematics or another quantitative subject at GCSE or equivalent, and for international applicants, evidence of English language proficiency at the level required by the university. Relevant work experience, voluntary conservation work or evidence of interest in animals and field biology can strengthen an application.
