All students complete an 18-hour core that includes Research Design; Racism: Beyond Black and White; Allied Healthcare Administration; Evidence-Based Practice; Leadership & Advocacy in Policy and Healthcare; and Program Planning & Evaluation. In addition, students take 6 hours of advanced practice content—Advanced Strength & Conditioning and Foundations and Theory of Health Behavior—and select either a 3-hour Advanced Clinical Practicum or a 3-hour Thesis to fulfill degree completion.

Application materials include a personal essay (1–2 pages) describing goals and relevant experience, two letters of recommendation (from non-relatives evaluating professional or academic work), a professional résumé, and official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities. Applicants may be invited to a Zoom interview at the program chair/director’s discretion. Additional requirements apply to international applicants and those without a bachelor’s degree.
