What you'll study

The program comprises four required graduate courses (12 credit hours):

• MBA 501 Organizational Development & Change Management — 3 credits; no prerequisite.
• MBA 575 The Healthcare Organization — 3 credits; no prerequisite.
• MBA 577 Managing the Health Care Organization - The Financial Perspective — 3 credits; prerequisite: MBA 575.
• MBA 579 Improving the Health Care Organization — 3 credits; prerequisite: MBA 577.

Instruction is delivered via the Blackboard learning management system, which hosts videos, syllabi, assignments and communication tools.

Entry requirements

An undergraduate degree is required for admission. Several certificate courses have stated prerequisites as noted above. The program page also notes credit-for-prior-learning options that can provide up to 9 credits toward a graduate business degree for industry-recognized credentials.

Career prospects

The curriculum is oriented toward roles that require management and leadership acumen in health care organizations, including operational improvement, financial oversight and organizational change.
