What you'll study

The program requires 27 credits of discipline core coursework. Required courses include TECH 3000 Introduction to Technology Management; TECH 3010 Creative Problem Solving; TECH 3400 Project Management; TECH 3700 Materials Management or MGMT 3470 Lean Management Systems; TECH 3850 Quality Management in Technology or MGMT 3070 Six Sigma and Quality Management; TECH 4000 Reliability Management; TECH 4400 Advanced Project Management or MGMT 3450 Operations Management; and TECH 4910 Senior Capstone Project. Students must also complete one approved quantitative course for 3 credits from options such as ACC 3000, STAT 1040/1045/2040/3040, MGMT 2240, or MGMT 2340.

Entry requirements

Completion of a minimum of 27 credits is required for the certificate. Students must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 (B) or above and earn a grade of B or higher in each course. A residency minimum of 7 credit hours through course attendance at UVU is required.
