What you'll study

Students take required courses drawn from the Environmental Studies MS curriculum; course delivery includes virtual synchronous sessions (evenings or weekends), asynchronous components in some courses, field-based classes, and campus intensives. Classes typically meet one day per week or are offered as intensives. The program is linked with Antioch’s Center for Climate Preparedness & Community Resilience and other departmental resources.

Entry requirements

The certificate is open to matriculated and non-matriculated applicants. To apply you must submit an online application, a resume or CV, and official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended (transcripts may be emailed to the Office of Admissions). There is a non-refundable $50 application fee. Master’s and certificate programs do not require the GRE or other standardized tests. Antioch lists additional requirements for international applicants and applicants without a bachelor’s degree.

Graduates work across multiple environmental sectors, including private consulting, regulatory enforcement, conservation institutions, formal and informal education, government agencies, advocacy organizations, and the arts.
