What you'll study

• Project Management Fundamentals — core concepts, terminology, and basic practices to plan, execute, and close projects.
• Project Management Applications — applies foundational principles to real-world scenarios with hands-on tools and techniques used by practitioners.
• PMP® Prep — coverage of the knowledge areas and process groups tested on the Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam to prepare experienced managers for certification.

Entry requirements

Courses are delivered as Continuing Education offerings; learners should ensure technology requirements are met: PC with Windows 8 or later, Mac with macOS 12 or later, and a current browser (preferred: latest Chrome or Firefox; Edge and Safari compatible). Adobe Acrobat Reader is required. All software must be installed and operational before the course begins.

Career prospects

These classes develop transferable project-management skills for industries such as construction, healthcare, technology, and finance. Completing PMP® Prep positions learners to sit for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam administered by PMI; passing the PMP® or CAPM® exam yields a globally recognized credential employers value.

Scholarships & funding angle

Most classes cost between $125 and $165 each; a one-time annual registration fee of $15 applies at first registration of the year. Residency and per-course state assessment fees may apply (Maryland students +$5 per course; non-Maryland students +$10 per course). Financial assistance options and CEWD scholarships or workforce development funding are available to eligible students; payment-plan options and a Financial Assistance Request Form are offered.
