What you'll study

Coursework centers on designing real-world problem-based learning experiences (Challenges) that align essential content with critical skills and dispositions. Key skill areas named in the program include problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, creative thinking, organization, communication, collaboration, leadership, self-direction, curiosity, and ownership of learning. Students also study competency-based authentic assessment practices (formative and summative) and strategies for engineering collaborative classroom communities.

Entry requirements

To apply you must complete the online admissions application and submit essay responses, a resume/CV, official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions, and two letters of recommendation from professional or academic evaluators (not relatives). A non-refundable $50 application fee is required. Selected applicants will be interviewed by program faculty. International applicants and those without a bachelor's degree have additional requirements. GRE or other standardized tests are not required.

Antioch University New England notes that most students use some form of financial aid and offers assistance to explore loans, scholarships, and grants. The campus also provides a 10% tuition discount when three or more employees from the same school or district attend an AUNE Education MEd or Certificate program simultaneously (specific conditions apply). The published tuition figure shown on program materials is $840 per credit.
