The course totals 72 points and comprises:

• a unit in research methodology (24 points)
• RQ9748M Minor Thesis (48 points)

Students learn to develop research proposals, gather and conceptually process research material, and present a research artefact such as a dissertation. Further details on the Minor Thesis are provided in the institution's Minor Thesis Policy and on the University of Divinity Minor Thesis guide.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree or an approved equivalent. Where the applicant's first language is not English, the Admissions Policy outlines required English language proficiency. The college also operates credit transfer and recognition of prior learning (RPL) under its Credit Policy.

Career prospects

Graduates will have a working knowledge of current terms, assumptions and approaches in selected theological disciplines, familiarity with research methods, protocols, practices and ethics, the ability to apply focused research methods to complex questions, and developed writing and communication skills for presenting research results. The qualification suits those preparing for further research or roles requiring advanced theological research capability.
