What you'll study

The course comprises three units (72 points) of foundational study drawn from three broad theological areas. Most students select a unit each in biblical studies, systematic theology and a mission or ministry-focused subject. Graduates gain familiarity with theological sources, terms and conceptual frameworks; develop research, analysis and communication skills; and practise interpretation and hermeneutical application of texts and traditions to historical or contemporary issues.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree or an approved equivalent. Where applicants' first language is not English, English language proficiency requirements apply under the Admissions Policy. The college also operates credit transfer and recognition of prior learning (RPL) processes.

Career prospects

The qualification provides foundational theological training suited to those preparing for further study or seeking enhanced capacity to engage Christian thought in work, ministry and community contexts. Outcomes focus on the ability to interpret texts and traditions and to communicate theological insights relevant to life, work and civic engagement.
