Programme overview

Students apply to Education Abroad through Wagner’s Center for Intercultural Advancement (Union 227). Programs are offered for summer, a semester, or a full academic year; summer programs are noted as 2 units. Credits earned abroad are recorded on the Wagner transcript with the grades received but are treated as transfer credits and do not change the student’s Wagner GPA. Internships are available at many host sites.

What you'll study

Coursework and placements vary by host program. Education abroad courses may be used to satisfy the Intermediate Learning Community requirement (two thematically related courses) and can meet the Intercultural requirement at Wagner. Specific modules and curricula depend on the chosen partner program and are determined through the Education Abroad advising and application process.

Entry requirements

• All applicants must meet with an Education Abroad Advisor and submit an application through the Center for Intercultural Advancement.
• For semester and academic year programs, students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA at the time of application and be in good disciplinary standing.
