What you'll study

The curriculum covers core clinical and professional areas including anatomy, physiology and pharmacology, patient assessment, management of medical and trauma emergencies, advanced life support and resuscitation. Teaching integrates simulation, scenario work and research-led content to develop clinical decision-making and the application of evidence-based practice. Each year includes supervised placements across settings such as NHS ambulance services, urgent care clinics, general practice and acute hospital trusts, and students maintain a personal e-portfolio evidencing clinical competencies.

Entry requirements

A typical offer requires a UCAS tariff of 112–136 for the full-time route or 32–56 for the foundation-year route. UCAS points can be achieved through qualifications such as A levels, T levels, BTEC or an Access to Higher Education course in a relevant subject. Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for registration as paramedics with the Health and Care Professions Council and for roles across modern paramedic practice, including frontline ambulance services, NHS walk-in centres, GP surgeries and hospital environments.
