Entry requirements

Students are assessed at multiple points in the Teacher Education Program and must be formally admitted to that program. Requirements include a cumulative GPA of 2.75 and a minimum 3.0 GPA in each teaching major (including teacher education courses). Any professional education course graded C- or lower must be repeated. Admission assessments for the Teacher Education Program include an interview and reading and writing on-demand evaluations. For student teaching, applicants must apply a year before the semester, maintain the GPA thresholds, and submit a lesson plan evaluated by School of Teacher Education faculty.
