What you'll study

This MSc combines core theory, quantitative tools and applied projects to give a rounded understanding of modern supply chain and logistics management. Teaching emphasises operational decision-making, strategic design and the use of digital technologies to improve performance.

• Core topics: supply chain strategy and design, logistics and distribution management, procurement and supplier management, operations and production planning, inventory and demand planning.
• Quantitative and digital methods: forecasting and demand analytics, optimisation and simulation modelling, lean and Six Sigma thinking, data analytics for supply chains, enterprise resource planning (ERP) concepts and digital supply chain technologies.
• Practice and professional development: applied group projects or industry-based projects, case studies drawn from manufacturing, retail and 3PLs, professional skills workshops (project management, communication, negotiation).
• Research or project dissertation: a substantial individual or group project that applies course learning to a real-world supply chain challenge, often sponsored or co-supervised by industry partners.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a good undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, business, economics, mathematics, logistics, or a science-based subject. Equivalent qualifications from recognised international institutions are accepted.

Relevant work experience in operations, procurement, logistics or related roles can strengthen an application and may be considered alongside academic qualifications. Candidates must also meet the University of Warwick's English language requirements; applicants for whom English is not a first language should provide evidence of proficiency as specified by the university.
