SLIIT’s Master of Business Administration is a two-year, SLQF Level 10 programme delivered primarily at the Malabe campus with weekend and flexible evening/Sunday options to suit working professionals. It suits early-to-mid career graduates or professionals seeking advanced management, strategic and leadership skills across finance, marketing, HR and operations.

What you'll study

The curriculum establishes core management foundations in year one and advances into applied research and practical projects in year two. Core study areas include strategic management, marketing, finance, organisational behaviour, human capital management and project/operations topics.

  • Semester 1: Management and Organizational Behavior (4), Marketing Management (4), Financial and Management Accounting (4), Business Communication (3), Business Economics (4), Project Management (4), Business Negotiation (3) — plus an elective.
  • Semester 2: Strategic Management (4), Human Capital Management (4), Operations and Supply Chain Management (4), International Business (3), Management Information Systems (3), E-Business (3), Entrepreneurship and Business Leadership (4), Business Project (3), Independent Business Study (5) — plus electives.

Entry requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Accountancy, Finance, Estate Management and Valuation, Business Economics, Operation Management, Management Information Systems or Economics from a recognised university.
  • A bachelor’s degree in any subject plus at least one year of post-qualifying work experience.
  • A postgraduate diploma of not less than one year or higher degree in Management Studies from a recognised university.
  • A postgraduate diploma or higher degree in any other field with two years’ experience.
  • Professional qualifications with two years’ post-qualifying experience as approved by SLIIT.

Shortlisted candidates will also undergo a formal interview.

Career prospects

The programme targets preparation for senior leadership and executive-level roles across industries. Graduates are positioned for C‑level and senior management roles, functional headships and leadership of business units in areas such as operations, finance, marketing, human resources, technology and corporate strategy, with emphasis on strategic decision-making and organisational transformation.
